LIVINGSTON - Cecil and
Adelaide Hoffpauir were selected
King and Queen at the Valentine
Banquet at Blanchard Baptist
Church, Feb. 14. Mr. and Mrs. Hoff-
pauir were on the Mission Commit-
tee from Central Baptist Church to
establish Blanchard in 1980.
As part of the entertainment, four
men of the church formed a quartet
and sang barbershop musical
numbers at the banquet. They are
Joe Ivy, Archie Conner, Clyde Smith
and Dave Mallory. Dressed in dark
slacks, white shirts with red arm
bands, bow ties and suspenders and
wearing straw hats, they sang:
Grogan’s Goat, Down by the Old Mill
Stream, Let Me Call You Sweetheart
(serenade to Judy Pearce, church
secretary), This Little Light of
Mine, Do Lord, Bicycle Built for Two
and Goodnight Ladies.
The Fellowship Hall was
decorated in red and white and the
covered dish meal was served to 147
by Trilba Pruitt and her committee:
Helen and Bill Orchid, Dru Barker,
Narceille Vaden, Ann Guthrie and
Mary Cowling. Royce Pennington is
pastor and Ken Guthrie is youth and
music minister.

register
LIVINGSTON - Dixie Youth Soft-
ball registration for girls and boys,
ages 4,5 and 6 and girls, ages 7-12
will be from 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday,
Feb. 26 and Tuesday, Feb. 27 in the
Uvingston Elementary Cafeteria.
Registration fee is $15 per person.
