TO THE CITIZENS OF TITUS
County
It is with gratitude, beyond words,
I would convey my appreciation of
the almost unanimous vote J receiv-
ed in my own county for the office
of Associate Justice of the .Court
of Civil Appeals, receiving 38,721
votes in 22 counties, though losing: by
:i small majority of 803 the manner
in which my oyn county supported me
has taken the- sting out of‘my defeat
and for that splendid endorsement I
will always feel grateful,
