ERROR IN BIBLE ARTICLE
Dear Editor:
1 noticed in the Time* Review a
piece on the Bible said that the word
“girl” appeared only once in the Bib-
le, but it is a mistake, it occurred
twice: In Joel, 3rd chapter and 3rd
verse, and Zechariah 8th chapter and
5th verse.
Yours respectfully,
Vadie Allen, (age 15)

SNOW, SNOW, EVERYWHERE
SO THIRSTY ACTORS EAT IT
When away from water in a cold
country, never eat snow to quench
your thirst—that is the age-old pro-
verb of the north.
While on location in the high Siei
ras, filming scenes for Zane Grey’s
“The Thundering Herd,” which Will-
iam K. Howard directed for Para-
mount, Jack Holt completely disprov-
ed this theory.
The company was miles from civi-
lization and water was scarce. To
quench his thirst, Holt started eating
snow. Some of the other film players
warned him of the danger, explain-
ing that instead of quenching one's
thirst, it tends to increase it. Not
only that, they told him, if sufficient
snow in imbibed, it is apt to make-
one seriously ill.
