How CARDUI
Helps Women
WAS passing through '
a critical time in my life,
and I suffered a great deal,”
aays Mrs. Mat Howard, of
Quilan, Texas. “I improved
very much after I had taken
Cardui for a while. Since
then, I have given Cardui to
my five daughters. As each
one of them arrived at wom-
anhood, I gave her Cardui for
several months. I found
they were less nervous and
felt stronger. All of them
have continued the use of
Cardui in their homes.
In my home we have all
been better for having
taken it.”

ed: “How fast is this train going?”
“About sixty Miles an hour,” replied
the friend. “Then why doesn’t the
railway company remove the engine
and let the train travel on its own
momentum?” asked Wrigley.—Fer-
gus Falls (Minn.) Journal.

A LESSON IN ADVERTISING
William Wrigley, the chewing gum
magnate, who died recently, amassed
a great fortune, and he attributed his
success to advertising. While travel-
ing on a fast train some time ago,
a friend asked Wrigley why he con-
tinued to spend millions of dollars
for advertising. “Your gum is now
known the world over and the people
have the habit; why don’t you save
the millions you are spending on ad-
vertising?” asked the friend. Wrig-
ley thought for a moment, then ask-
“I thought your secretary was
blonde.”
“She was, but she’s gone off the
gold -standard.”—Passing Show.
