Ellis County. Texas, will open
sealed bids at 11 a.m.. Friday,
June 28. 1957. on the following
listed contracts:
1. To furnish all materials,
including mastic, felt and
first quality asphalt title
and to install same in
district courtroom, male
witness room, grand jury
room and two adjoining
rooms and the connecting
hall on third floor of
county courthouse. Floor
to be made ready for
contractor.
2. To furnish and install
hardwood pew-type bench-
es in district courtroom,
replacing present chairs
with same lineal feet of
benches.
3. Furnishing and installing
acoustical*board ceiling in
district courtroom.
Bids may be submitted at any
time prior to June 28. 1957. at
the office of the undersign-
ed where plans and specifica-
tions on the above projects are
available. The county reserves
the right to reject any or all
bids.

holding Palmer to but one hit
in the opening game Monday.
The Optimists jumped off to a
3-0 lead in the first inning to
dominate the game all the way.
The Merchants scored four
runs in the first, another four
in the second and one in the
fourth, but saw the Legion whit-
tle away at the lead and score
