Holidays coming early at lake
ONALASKA - The Lake
Livingston Area Tourism Council
is hosting the 2nd annual "Christmas
in our Town” on Nov. 27 at the
Onalaska Elementary School on
FM 356 South
Vendors will open at 4 a m. with
all types of crafts, wares and food.
Free children's activities including
two moonwalks, a petting zoo, a
train ride and pony rides will begin
at 1 p.m. and continue until 5 p.m
when there will be a children's
“Christmas Sing-A-Long.“
A tree lighting ceremony for
grades Pre-K through sixth is slated
for 5:30 p.m., for the students to
show off their handmade orna-
ments. A lighted parade will begin
at 5:45 p.m. on Hvvy. 100 and trax -
el south on FM 356. ending with
Santa taking the children's orders
Old Town will be all aglow with
plenty of lights and fun for all
There will be holiday music from
Angie Roland and David Blake
beginning at I p.m.
I vent parking will be available
m designated areas vvilh handi-

There will be a "hay wagon shut-
tle" making the rounds between
parking areas

ter wonderland with millions ot

MADISONVILLE Funeral
services for Sylvan Joseph Ardoin,
65, of Midway were held Friday.
Oct 24, 2004. at Madisonville Fu-
neral Home, with the Rev Ralph
Messenger officiating Burial fol-
lowed in Peebles Cemetery in
Livingston A horse-drawn carriage
transported the coffin to the grave
site Cochran Funeral Home as-
sisted with local arrangements
Mr Ardoin was bom on Feb X.
1939 in Mamou, La. to Ariel and
Pauline Dupre Ardoin, and died on
Wednesday, Oct 27. He was a
resident of Midway for the past 13
years, having come from New
l anev. Mr Ardoin was a member
of the Living Truth Church in
Madisonville. He worked as a
heavy equipment operator in the
construction industry. He was a
member of Operating Engineer
Local 450 and the American Paint
Horse Association and studied un-
der Joe Bowman He was a master
horse trainer and breeder and a
quick-draw gunsman. Mr. Ardoin
