Artemio Hernandez Sr.
ARTEMIO HERNANDEZ SR.
Artemio Hernandez Sr., age
88, passed away Thursday, Jan.
31, in Kermit. He was born Jan.
2, 1925 in Mulato, MX to Ra-
mon Payen and Herculana Her-
nandez.
Artemio loved being a cow-
boy. He was a farmer at heart
and enjoyed such activities as
working with horse, hunting and
fishing. He also enjoyed danc-
ing.
Those left behind to cherish
his memory are his son: Mar-
celino Hernandez of Lamar CO.;
three daughters: Maria Elena
Chavez of Kermit, Herlinda
Anaya and husband Rene of MX
and Martha Muniz and husband
Ramon of Kermit, one brother:
Rojelio Hernandez of KS; two
sisters: Elva Salinas of Ojinaga,
MX and Rosa Rivera and hus-
band Velinco of Ojinaga, MX;
thirteen Grandchildren; twenty
three great-grandchildren and
six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death
by his wife: Pauline Hernandez;
one son: Artemio Hernandez Jr.
and his parents.
Graveside Service was 2
p.m., Feb. 2, at Kermit Cemetery
in Kermit. Service was offici-
ated by Pastor Robert Moreno.
Pallbearers were: Jose Chavez,
Alfonzo Chavez, Jose Mon-
toya, Rojelio Hernandez, Ruben
Saenz and Daniel Muniz. Hon-
orary Pallbearer was: Marceleno
Hernandez.
Arrangements are entrusted
to Family Services Funeral Par-
lor. Online condolences may be

Rosary was 7 p.m. Thurs-
day, Jan. 31, at Family Services
Funeral Chapel. A prayer ser-
vice was held on 2 p.m. Friday,
Feb. 1, at Family Funeral Ser-
vices Funeral Chapel. Services
were officiated by Pastor Robert
Moreno. Interment was in Wiley
Cemetery in Wiley, Colorado.
Arrangements were entrust-
ed to Family Services Funeral

Artemio loved the high life,
hanging out with friends and
family and classic rock music.
He was a diehard Denver Bron-
co fan. He will be missed by his
family and many friends.
