Catherine Jones
DENTON - Catherine Jones, 88,
of Denton died Thursday, Feb 28,
2002, in Denton Rehabilitation
Center
She was born July 7, 1913 in
Justin, to Dr. Joseph H and Effie
Belle McDaniel Allen. She attained
an MS degree in education and was
an elementary school teacher, hav-
ing retired from the Lewisville In-
dependent School District after 24
years. She married James Evan
Jones of June 6, 1939 in Houston.
He preceded her in death on June
28, 1983. Mrs. Jones was a member
of Welch Street Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held Sat-
urday, March 2, 2002, from Welch
Street Church of Christ, with Terry
Collins officiating Memorials may
be made to the charity of choice.
Survivors include two sons and
daughters-in-law, James A. “Chip”
and Johnny Carole Jones of Vibur-
num, Mo. and Larry W. and Livia
Jones of Mansfield; sisttfr-in-laW,
Margaret Allen of Denton; three
grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Amy
Jones and Lindsey Jones; and sev-
eral nieces and nephews.
Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz
and Son Funeral Home was in
charge of arrangements.
Darrell Dean Lord Jr.
LIVINGSTON - Graveside ser-
vices for Darrell Dean "JR' Lord
Jr., 40, were held Friday. March I.
2002, from Brookside Cemetery in
Humble
He was born Aug. 8, 1961 in
Laurel, Miss , the son of Darrell
Dean and Hazel Lord He was pre-
ceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife,
Tammy Lord; sons. Jason Lord and
wife Amy, Shane Lord and wile
Jennifer and Colby Lord; mother
Hazel Lord; brothers, Gary and
wife Norma Lord, Danny and wife
Margaret Lord and Joel Lord; sis-
ter, Shiela and husband Danny
Spann, one grandchild, Jordon D.
Lord and host of ‘‘other brothers
and sisters.”
In lieu of flowers, the family has
requested contributions be sent to
(he JR Lord Memorial Fund at First
State Bank in Livingston or Ona-
laska.

Lewis Burch
CORRIGAN - Funeral services
for Lewis Burch, 74, of Moscow
were held Saturday, March 2, 2002,
from the Corrigan Funeral Home
Chapel, with Father Tom Huhn
officiating. Interment followed in
Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Burch was born Sept. 13,
1927 in Livingston and died Thurs-
day, Feb. 28.
He retired from Champion Inter-
national as a forklift driver. He was
preceded him death by his wife
Mary in 1982 and three brothers,
Richard, Dan and Henry Burch.
Survivors include his son, Jesse
L. Burch of Moscow; brother,
Floyd Burch of Livingston; sister-
in law, Winnie Lopez of Corrigan;
niece, Winnie Jo Cluck of Houston;
and special friend, Audrey
Rohwedder of Moscow.
Ronnie Lee Henderson
LIVINGSTON Funeral ser-
vices for Ronnie Lee Henderson,
50, were held Tuesday, Feb 26,
2002, from the Cochran Funeral
Home Chapel, with Dr. Jim Sherrill
officiating. Interment followed in
Dry Creek Cemetery in Granger-
land.
Mr. Henderson died Saturday,
Feb. 23, in Memorial Medical Cen-
ter - Livingston.
He was born Dec. 16, 1951 in
Many, La., the son of Ivic and
Winnie Winslow Henderson. He
was preceded in death by his father,
Ivie Lee Henderson; mother, Win-
nie Bell Winslow Henderson;
brother, Billy Joel Carson; sister,
Linda Marie Griffin; brother in-
law, Raymond Valderez, nieces,
Teresa Bratton and LaCrisa Val
derez and grandmother, Lizzie
Brooks.
Survivors include his sister and
brother-in-law, Lisa and Felix Val-
derez of Livingston; sisters, Diane
Valderez, Sharon Glass and Judy

Dustin Lee Brewer
LIVINGSTON - Funeral ser-
vices for Michael Eugene Bunting,
48, of Goodrich will be held at 2
p.m. Monday, March 4, 2002, from
the Pace Funeral Home Chapel,
with Bro. Harold Isaacs officiating.
Interment will follow in Restland
Memorial Park, with the VFW Post
8568 Honor Guard passing in re-
view Visitation will be held from
noon until 8 p.m. Sunday at Pace
Funeral Home.
Mr Bunting died Thursday, Feb.
28, in Goodrich.
He was bom March 5, 1953 in
Goodrich, the son of Norma Jean
Hancock and Elmer C. Bunting. He
was preceded in death by his father.
In 1972 he graduated from
Channelview High School and,
after graduation, he joined the U.S.
Army After 20 years in the Army,
he retired as an SFC (E7). After
retirement he worked at the Polk
County Jail. At the time of his
death he was employed by TDCJ at
the Polunsky Unit in Livingston.
Survivors include his wife of 27
years, Chom Pok Bunting; mother,
Norman Jean Hancock; son, Mi-
chael E. Bunting II; daughters, Jan-
net K Reeves and husband Jason,
Jennie N. Bunting and Laura "K.
Bunting; sisters, Linda Gail Kowis
and Lavera June Morton; aunts,
Maudell Atchley and Carolyn Gas-
ton and husband Melvin"; uncle,
Jimmy Ray Smith and wife Elsie
Mae; three grandchildren and nu-
merous nieces and nephews.
LIVINGSTON - Graveside ser-
vices for Dustin Lee Brewer, 4,
were held Saturday, March 2, 2002,
from Oates Cemetery in Leggett,
with the Rev. Harold Isaacs offici-
ating.
Dustin died Wednesday, Feb. 27,
at his residence near Livingston.
He was bom Oct. 7, 1997 in
Cleveland, the son of Archie
Brewer and Wendy Hapney. •
Survivors include his father,
Archie Lee Brewer; mother,
Wendy Sue Hapney; grandmother,
Carol Byars of Houston; grandfa-
ther, James Byars of Channelview,
grandmother, Claudia McCullar of
Livingston; grandfather, John
McCullar of Livingston; sisters,
Parker, all of Livingston; foster
dad, Robert Gentry of Many, La.;
numerous nieces and nephews and
a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Danny Bratton,
Bill Kottcrman, Jamie Valderez,
Fcliz Valderez III, Shawn Valderez
and Ronnie Pixlcy.
