for extra adult softball season
The Livingston Parks and Recrea-
tion Department is offering many
activities for youth and adults.
Summer Fun *98 camps continue
for the youth while volleyball tour-
naments and an additional summer
softball season are being offered for
the adults.
Summer camp
7. Registration continues for the
Summer Fun 1)8 camps that re-
main. There are only five camps
left to be completed for this year.
Gymnastics, water and athletic ac-
tivities are awaiting your participa-
tion. The remaining camps to be
lidd include: July 6-10, Pre-School
3«mmer Camp; July 13-17, Swim
Camp, Boy's Gladiator Camp and
Soccer Camp; and July 21-24 and
July 28-31, Junior Lifeguard Camp.
Adult softball
t-The weather this summer has al-
lowed games to be played on their
angularly scheduled dates. With no
need for rain make-ups, there will
be a large break in play at Pedigo
Park. To accommodate the growing
interest in softball for adults, the
Parks and Recreation Department
yrfll schedule a second summer sea-
son. The "August League" will be

Teams may register for the
"August League" for only $200.
Registration deadline is 5 p.m.
Monday, July 27. All fees are re-
quired at that time. Teams will get
to play six games for the season to
establish ranking in a tournament.
Teams will then compete in a tour-
nament at the end of the season to
determine first and second place fin-
ishers for each league. Champions
and runners-up will both receive T-
shirts for prizes.
This season will include games
for women on Monday, men will
play on Wednesdays and the Co-Rec
division will play on Friday nights.
Church League play will also be
included in this season on Thursday
nights. Games will begin for this
season during the week of Aug. 3.
Volleyball
The next volleyball tournament
at Matthews Street Pool will be on
Thursday, July 16. The gate will
open to spectators and players at
6:30 p.m. and the tournament starts
at 7 p.m. Admission for everyone
is $1.75. Teamsjnjiat- sign up by
5:30 p.m. on the' day of the tour-
nament to be eligible to play.
Come join the fund of sand volley-
ball at the pool every other Thurs-
day during the summer.
Registration for. softball and
Summer Fun *98 camps is held at
Livingston City Hall from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Registration for the volleyball
tournament is available at the Mat-
thews Street Pool during regular
pool hours.
