The Hit Gospel Musical “The Streets Can’t Have My
Boys” is Coming to San Antonio January 17
I
-1
New Orleans bom playwright Robert Sims,
' Jr. presents the long awaited hit play and gos-
pel musical, “The Streets Can’t Have My
Boys” on Saturday, January 17 at 8 p. m. in
the Lila Cockrell Theatre in celebration of Dr.
Martin Luther King’s birthday.
One of the most talked about theatrical
plays touring in 1998, features an amazing
ensemble of gospel singers, actors, and danc-
ers. Organizers, including local promoter Ri-
chard Stevenson, have worked long and hard
to bring this foot stompin’, hand clappin’ stage
production to San Antonio.
A distraught, pieving mother weeps at the casket of her son and resolves that the streets can’t
have her boys
The play focuses on our every day concerns
of gang violence, drug abuse, and parenthood.
“The Streets Can’t Have My Boys” delivers
a powerful Christian message of love, perse-
verance, and hope. This presentation will be
in San Antonio for one performance only and
tickets go on sale Saturday at 10:00 a. m.
through all Ticketmaster locations or to chaige
by phone, call 224-9660. Ticket prices are
$22.50 and $19.50. All seats reserved.
We encourage that your entire family at-
tend this once in a lifetime presentation.
Make someone happy for Christmas with a
pair of tickets to this great gospel musical
