DIVORCE HURTS!
If youhave Ren divorced, you know that it brings with it pains and prob
that can be hard to deal with. Whether you are recently divorced or have goi
on with your life and have even remarried, it can still have it's effects on you. SL
That is why we are excited to offer DIVORCECARE...A WEEKLY SUP-I
PORT GROUP THAT GETS TOGETHER TO WATCH GREAT VID^f
EOS THAT DEAL WITH THE PROBLEMS OF DIVORCE AND MO*;,.
TIVATE THE PERSON TO LOOK FORWARD TO BETTER DAYSj$
AFTER THAT LEAVES YOU FEELING LIKE EVERYTHING IS GO-
ING TO BE OKAY.
You see, too often, people who have been divorced think of themselves as being "dam-
aged goods"—like they will never be able to escape the pain and have healthy relationships.
Many times people who are divorced feel like others look down on them, and they may even
feel that God looks down on them. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE
TRUTH...and if you struggle with those feelings, then DIVORCECARE is for you! It teaches
you that you are special, and God still blesses you.
As well, there are issues that those who have been through divorce need to deal with...anger,
forgiveness, depression, financial problems, dealing with children (as they are affected by
divorce as well) as well as other issues, and DIVORCECARE helps you deal with this in a
positive way.
DIVORCECARE is FREE, and it's a great opportunity to spend time with others who
have been through the same kind of problems as you have. It is confidential-which means that
what is talked about stays within your support group.
THERE ARE 2 NEW GROUPS STARTING THIS WEEK. You can
select the Tbesday (starts Jan. 21st) or Wednesday (starts Jan. 22nd), both
meet at 7 p.m. at the Agape Church (209 SW Ave D) in Seminole. ANYONE IS
WELCOME, regardless of what church you go to or even if you don't go to
church (this program is a COMMUNITY PROGRAM). Walk-ins are wel-
come, but if you want to RSVP or find out more information, please call
James Smith (758-6279).
