Now, from American Motors,
the car that wasn’t there.
This may well be the most important news to come
out of Detroit this year.
A major gap has developed in today’s automobile
marlet — a gap that tiQ .Atr>Cr'C?H-b1.';!.t C3T IS filling.
Because this gap exists, ov»r 1,000,000 car buyers
a year have not been able to get the car they wanted:
a car for the American motorist at a list price com-
petitive to foreign imports.
Today, American Motors’ new management and
nearly 2,500 American Motors/Rambler Dealers
are filling that gap.
As of today, we are limiting future changes in our
Rambler American line toessential changes that will
furtherenhancethesafetyand reliabilityof thesecars.
This will save us millions of dollars—and we and our
dealers are passing the savings along to you now.

at $ 1,839“ It means ihat today, your American
Motors/Rambler Dealer has put new price stickers
on all nine Rambler American models.
For years, Ramblei American has been the best
value in an American automobile. Today, priced
competitive to imported cars, it is the best auto-
mobile value in the world.
This week on television, we promised you excit-
ing news from American Motors.
This is only the beginning.

Scouts To Hear
Judge P. Kilday
Judge Paul J. Kilday, native
ot Eabinal and one of South-
west Texas’ all-time promin-
ent men, will be the main
speaker March 1 at the annu-
al banquet of the Alamo Area
Council, Boy Scouts of Ameri-
ca.
The banquet will be held in
Villita Assembly Hall, San An-
tonio, beginning at 6:30 p.m
Theme of the banquet is "Sa-
lute to the Military”. A f u 1 1
house of 1,200 is expected.
The military is being honor-
ed for the more than 50 years
support it has given to Scout-
ing in this area of Texas. Hu-
bert W. Green Jr., council
president, said the acceptance
of Judge Kilday was most ap
preciated and timely for the
banquet theme.
“Throughout his long con-
gressional career, Judge K i 1-
day was keenly interested in
the military forces of our
country and in our service-
men,” said Green.
Kilday was elected to i h e
House of Representatives from
Bexar County in 1938. He serv
ed to the close of the 1961 ses-
sion. In 1962, he was appoint-
ed to the three judge panel of
the U S. Couit of Military Ap
peals.
The court has been called
Ihe civilian supreme court for
servicemen in trouble.
While in Congress, Judge
Kilday was always a champion
of legislation favorable to the
military and to the service-
man. This won him the repu-
tation as “the No. 1 friend of
the serviceman”.
Born in Sabinal, Judge K i 1-
day grew up in San Antonio
and received his law degree
from Georgetown University,
Washing-on, D. C. He now
makes his home in that city.
In other program activities
at the banquet, the council
will honor eight adult Scouters
with Silver Beaver awards
and will install officers for
1967.
