any eggs until next March or!
April and it will cost $1.00- to'
feed each of these until that
time. There are also some old
hens that need to be sold that'
are sort of keepsakes around-
the place. i
So let’s make this poultry
program during the next two
weeks:
1. Pick up and sell all roost-
ers, young and old.
2. Pick up and sell all birds
that will class as friers.
3. Cull and sell all old hens. |
4. Check ads in farm papers'
and place orders for some
chicks for next spring delivery.*
The 1945 census showed
123,342 chickens on the farms
- of Shelby County, 'If 30,000
head of poultry are sold from
the farms of the county in the
next two weeks it will add
$30,000 or more to the Christ-
mas shopping of Shelby Coun-
ty an'd it will save $30,000 or
more of feed between now and
next spring.
