The Sunda yschool reunion of
Goodeville last Sunday in honor
of Mr. D. II. Stockton deceased
was a grand success in -every
particular. A large crowd was
in attendance and more than
enough eatables. The program
was a splendid one and especi-
ally addresses by Rev. Homer
A. McCarty and Prof. V. I.
Moore. Several beautiful tribu-
tes were paid to the one in
whose honor the reunion was
held. It was indeed a great
meeting.
Probably the most enjoyable
social occasion of the school
year was the annual banquet
given in the Hiieber building
last Friday night. Those pres
ent included trustees teachers
tho Ft. Worth Baseball Club and
almost all tho high school
students. After some of the
best cats in town had been serv-
ed numerous speeches were
made notable among which
was Mr. Berry's talk. He is the
coach of the Ft. Worth team
and he spoke highly of Bnrtlott
and its people in as much as
they believed in clean baseball.
Other speeches were made In
which humor and good will were
the prevailing qualities. From
pep displayed Friday night the
banquet of the school will
probably not be allowed to die
down in years to come.

Last Friday afternoon the
High School team and the fasl
nine of Ft. Worth Central High
crossed bats on the local dia-
mond. The largest crowd re-
corded in the nnnals Vf local
baseball history saw the Fort
Worth team) put a score of
three to nothing over on our
I boys but it was a hard clean
fight from start to finish and
some spectacular plays were
made on both sides. Saturday
morning another game was
played but this time the score-
was eleven to one in favor of
the visitors. This eliminates
Bartlott from the stnte cham
pionship rnce but we still holel
the Central Texas championship
and wo have it for keeps
