Lone Star Gas Company's gen
eral division which represents
gas distribution systems owned
and. operated bv the company
here and in more than 300 other
cities and towns in Texas and
Oklahoma according to Chester
L. May of Dallas vice-president
in charge of distribution propert
ies. Mr. Bird -with Lono Star
since 1925 will have headquart
ers in Dallas and his territory
will include all company distribu
tion plants except those located
in the Dallas and Fort Worth
divisions Mr. May said.
Mr. May also announced the
appointment of Joe C. Darrow as
Mr. Bird's successor as superin-
tendent of distribution for Lone
Star's Dallas division since 1946
joined Lone Star in 1927. He
will have headquarters in Abi-
lene and direct distribution oper-
ations for more than seventy
cities and towns comprising the
Abilene division.
