What a good time we all
had on Friday! When the
day finally arrived, resi-
dents were excited _and as
each event happened they
tried their very best to win
the first place ribbon.

Friendship Villa North and
our home was something to
see. Each one tried very

Thompson, Velma Balzen,
and Minnie Nietenhoefer.

our home. She has 12

Residents, enjoyed
another picnic at the Road-
side park. We packed a
lunch of fried chicken,
potato salad, and all the
trimmings and had a ball.

Shower held in the home of
Mrs. Terry Schott of
Castroville on the after-
noon of April 8, 1979; Other
hostesses included Mrs.

Miss Kay Kuester and Miss
Debbie Pfieffer Refresh-
ments consisting of Mama
Carle’s Coffee Stollen,
dropped donuts, nuts,
mints, ice tea andf coffee
were served. During the
afternoon rice bags were

presented Joyce with a
Mother of Pearl Rosary
which came from the Holy
land.
A kitchen shower was
held in the ome of
Miss Cindy Mumme on the
evening ot April 21, 1979
honoring Joyce Howard.

cookies, punch, nuts, mints
were served by the

Embrey. Joyce received
many lovely gifts for her

St. John’s Parish Hall in
Hondo was the scene of a
miscellaneous shower tea
honoring Joyce Howard on
the afternoon of April 22,
1979. Guests were received
by Mrs. Gerald Norwcxxi,
Godmother of the honoree,
her mother, Mrs. Jack
Howard, the groom's
mother, Mrs. Samuel Zerr,
and the groom’s grand-
mother, Mrs. Louis Carle.
Mrs. Ben Zerr grand-
mother of the groom was
also present fqr the
occasion. The tea table was
laid with a white linen cloth
centered with an arrange-
ment of white and yellow
flowers accented with
yellow burning tapers. The
serving tables were cover-
ed with white cloths with
honeymoon. Upon return
from their trip the couple
will be at home in Hondo.
Rehearsal Supper
Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Zerr
were hosts to the rehearsal
supper on the evening of
May 4th. It was held at the
D’Hanis Fire House where
a chicken Bar B-Que supper
was served to the bridal
party and some relatives
and friends.
