Home Demonstration Club
met in the Extension
Office in Hondo, Septem-
ber 24. 1973. Twelve
members, two guests and
the County Agent were
present
Plgns were made to
have the Annual Salad
Luncheon at the St.
John's Parish Hall in
Hondo this year.
The program will feature
a style show of garments
the II 1) women have
made. There will aslo be a
bazaar table of hand made
items.
The feature attraction
will be Mary E Heickman,
a teacher in Art from
Southwest (.’raft Center.
She will give a program on
Creative Stitcherv.
The council also voted
to award a $25.00 savings
bond to the boy or girl
gold star winner in Medina
County 4-11, which will lie
awarded on October 27
in Hondo

Timmerman died in Pleas-
anton Wednesday, Sep-
tember 19, 1973. She was
HO years old.
Born in Coleman Coun-
ty. Texas. December 15,
1880. Mrs. Timmerman
was married February 27,
1908. to August Timmer-
man. who was then a U. S.
Marshal in Indian Terri-
tory.
Later, Mr and Mrs.
Timmerman moved to San
Marcos, where he had
grown up He operated a
livery stable with horse-
drawn taxis
Still later Mr and Mrs
Timmerman mov ed to
Flore.sville and ran a dairy
farm for main years.
Mr Timmerman met his
death- in a landslide
accident.
Mrs Timmerman moved
to Pleasanton in 1940,
where she lived until her
death
She had been, a member
of the Presbyterian Church
since 'childhood, and she

ber 10, 1905, in Chickalah.
Mr Murdock preceded her
in death on Dec 4, I960,
as did a Son. Charence
Edward Murdock, 44, on
Aug. 1. 1960
Survivors are three
sons, Lloyd Murdock.

Also surviving are a
brother, 1) T Boatright,
and a sister. Mrs. T. T.

held Friday, September 21
at the Hurley Funeral
Chapel, Pleasanton. Rev

Sterling Martin of Hondo.
A 1972 graduate of Hondo
High School, she is
presently attending Lee
Junior College in Bay-
town, majoring in Math-
ematics.
The groom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cude
of Big Foot. He is a 1971
graduate of Devine High
School and attended Texas
A&l University. He is
employed as a lab techni-
cian with Eastern Pro-
ducts.
Officiating in the service
was Rev. David Lee
Stewart, pastor of the
First United Methodist
Church of Portland, Texas
Maid of Honor was
Judy Stewart, of Portland.
Bridesmaids were Karen
.lessee of Hondo, and
Marilyn Cude of Big Foot,
sister of the groom.

Thomas of Big Foot.

dresses with puffed
sleeves, round necks, wide
ruffle at the bottom, and
empire waist with white
velvet ribbon sash and
streamer. Each carried a
white ^fl^ket of melon
pink carnations, white
mums, and baby's breath
The church was decora-
ted for the ceremony with
votive candles, greenery
and mixed bouquets of
pink and white spring
flowers.
Music for the occasion
was provided by Sherrie
Tondre on piano and Tom
Hill on guitar The two
sang several selections
■before the ceremony Mrs.
Houston Eggen played the
Wedding March.
Sherrie, accompanied by
TorfT on the guitar, sang
the Wedding Song during
the ceremony.
Following the ceremony,
a reception was given by
the bride's parents in the
Church Educational Bull-
ing.
The bride’s table was
covered with white linen
lace trimmed cloth over
white net. Pink candles' in
crystal holders, and a
centerpiece of mixed bou-
quet of spring flowers
decorated the table. A
three-tiered wedding cake,
with pink roses and white
net was topped with two
white doves. Pink punch
was served to the gu-es'ts.
The groom's table 'fea-
tured white lace cloth over
' blue, with a blue center
piece Chocolate cake-with
cream frosting and wed-1
ding-bell decoration^ was ,
served, along with coffee
