Belton Post Office this week by
the Bell County Tuberculosis
Association to be disributed
throughout Bell County.
Along with the Seals went a
true story about how tubercul-
osis struck a Bell County fam
ily. Jttosalio and Pnsiln Gran-
ado and 5 year old son. Alberto.
are now hospitalized in the San
Antonio State Tuberculosis Hos-
pital while 7 year old Margar-
ita is staying with her grand-
parents in Temple. Margarita is
being followed closely by the
Bell County Chest Clinic to
make sure she doesn't take tu-
berculosis. The Chest Clinic is
supported by the sale of Christ
mas Seals.
Jinght-eyed Margarita and
lively Alberto are Bell County's
Seal Sale children this year.
They represent the children on
the 1956 Seals designed to illu-
strate the spirit of this 50th
annual Christmas Seal Sale." ac-
cording to Keifor Marshall Jr.
Seal Sale chairman.
"The Christmas Scale chil-
dren do not look backward;
there is no time to pause for
celebration of the triumphs
against TB" he explained.

At Hood Hospital
Members of the Woman's
Missionary Union of the First
Baptist Church in Bartlett pro-
vided 1400 cookies last week for
patients at the Fort Hood Army
Hospital. The group had voted
recently to furnish cookies dur-
ing the third week in Novem-
ber and they responded with
the full quota.

ROTC students recently desig
nated as "Distinguished Mili
tary Students'' by Col. Roy E1.
Hattan professor of military-
science and tactics at Trinity.
This award is presented each
year to ROTC officers who have
had at least three years ROTC
training and who have been out-
standing in classwork and leadership.

Earns Scholarship
At Duke University
Weldon Whitlow son of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Whitlow of Gar-
land and grandson of Mrs. Dim-
mitt Whitlow of Bartlett has
won a four year scholarship at
.Duke University in North Car-
olina. He received the award
ior making the highest grades
of any student in the University
during the first grade period of
the present semester.
Weldon who is 18 is a fresh-
man ministerial student at
Duke. He was an honor gradu-
ate of Garland High School last
