I Jon ! know it any ot the details

nothing but propaganda. If the

Well. such sources as
MoveOn.org and Michael Moore
are telling lies often enough to
where a lot of folks are liable to
believe them. too.
The people who justify what
Moore has done w ith his movie are
really no better than he is. They
are out to win an election whatever
the cost - not necessarily in money,
but in truthfulness, integrity, and
character.
Moore has no integrity nor char-
acter -- he is the lowest of the low
in politics, which is just what the
DNC has said about the ad Isn't
that ironic?
I say this: If the Democratic Na-
tional Committee thinks it is OK to
slander Bush, and goes on with
inflammatory ads, then this ad
should go on as well
J3ush has called for an end to
tfiese kind of soft money ads. and
has asked Kerry to join him. and I
think that is a good idea; but there
is no word from Kerry, and the
DNC has said, "No Way!" So.
shouldn't the chips fall where they

Now the I BI and CIA are trying
to take the blame for lying to
Dubya and taking the pressure off
him. but he had plenty of time to
wait on the inspectors to finish their
job in Iraq trying to find WMD.
Now all he can say after getting us
into war is we are safer, we are
iter, but doesn't bother to tell the
truth just how dangerous the terror-
ists have become now that they are
scattered around the world. You are
darn right we really like John Kerry
and his lovely, beautiful wife,
Teresa It is so refreshing to see the
futuie first lady speaking her own

mannequin that holds that position

Jack Dorwin, we know you hate

of different nationalities; fact is,

would be able to s.iv we told you
so Dubya is lying about new jobs
lust like be lied about WMD. Fact.
SI percent of new jobs created are
jobs paying minimum wage and
undij. Bush says. "I want everyone
to ha%e a job." eight million people
do, they are looking for a job. That
is their job. Bob Novack, making
fun of the way Theresa Kerry
looks, making fun of the Kerry and
Fdwards children, instead of wor-
rying about the 40 million people
without health insurance and al-
most 1,000 killed in Iraq. No telling
how many thousands maimed and
crippled for life. Sits there and
agrees with Bush that even though
there were no weapons of mass
destruction found, Dubya did the
right thing by having thousands
killed, hundreds murdered.
The country is as safe as its ever
been, ask any Republican. Mr.
Dorwin. your Republican friends
on Fox news put me in dream land.
I istening to their debates on the
.success Dubya has accomplished in
li.iq I can see the beautiful butter-
cups and lilacs swaying gently in
the bree/e lining the streets and
sidewalks with their fragrance.
Childun playing in the parks,
grownups waving and talking to
passersby. Dubya's Iraq is in com-
plete peaceful, blissful dream land.
People everywhere waving the U.S.
Flag and carrying pictures of
Dubya. Folks, this is what Dubya
and his Republican Party want you
to believe. Turn to CNN and you
will see Ins picture and the beauti-
ful flowers all in flame and black
smoke.
Remember, our troops over there
that are still dying for no reason
whatsoever. There is no peace in
sight and there never will be.
Thanks for the many cards and
letters that I receive from the peo-
ple that see and read and believe
the truth and not the Republicans’
rhetoric. Like 'Theresa Kerry has
said in her carefully chosen words
about Dubya, “I don't think he un-
derstands. like bis dad did, the role
of the diplomat. He has diminished
bis own ability, and therefore ours
as a country, to intervene with
ideas and persuasion, not with

Sharks, bacteria dampen trips
By MIKE COX
Texas Press Association
AUSTIN — At the height ot the
summer tourist season on the coast,
sharks and a little known bacteria
are making Texans neivous about
getting in the surf.
Two shark biles have been to-
ported along the upper coast and
along the mid coast three people
are suffering from the elicit' ot
Vibrio bacteria exposure
Even so. the Texas Department
ot Health says the use m Yihn
cases is not unusual.
"Vibrio is not new to the world,
and it’s not new to Texas." saul
TDH epidemiologist Linda Gaul.
"But some precautions are In ,oi
der.”
TDH has confirmed 20 cases o!
Vibrio illness since March, includ
ing three deaths. Texas averages 36
cases a year, Gaul said.
The bacteria lives in warm
coastal saltwater and can be intro-
duced into the body through open
cuts or sores. Vibrio also can be
contracted from eating raw seafood
such as oysters.
The basic precaution is to keep
any cuts or sores well-cov ered d
getting in salt water, and to not c.r
uncooked shellfish, especially it
you have diabetes, a weakened
immune system or liver disease.
