Some of the Improvements that Would
Help Make a City of this
Pleasant Town,
\
Electric Lights—Our business men could easily arrange with
Thurber to supply electric lights here at a cost lower than many
large cities have to pay. Especially do wTe need two large arc lights
at the rail road Crossing.
A Coat of Paint Almost the entire town needs a good coat of
new paint. The appearance would be improved a hundred per
cent and the cost would be a small item to each property holder.
A Clean Water Supply—Let our people get together and stop
the dumping of garbage and carcasses on the lake property. This
lake is the town’s only water supply and the water should be kept
entirely free from impurities.
A 1 leasuie 1 aik Mingus Lake could be converted into a
ielightful pleasure resort at a very moderate cost......There are
cautifid .grounds and the lake is wide enough and deep enough
<r ul! kinds of pleasure boats.
A Musk Poacher—One who has had success in her work in
.<T places und to Whom our people could entrust their children
cowing that they were being properly trained.
Clean Streets and Alleys—Our streets and alleys should be
leared of ah stumps and underbrush, and all rubbish should be
muled out of town.
With these few improvements Mingus would take her rightful
place as the leading town of this section.
There will soon be a K. of P.
lodge in Mingus. This was de-
cided upon at a meeting helhlast
Thursday.
