Frog Farmer from Double Bayou Has
Some Plans for Double Cross of
Breeds, Wood and Marsh.
Probably by reason of his recent
prominence as ferret fancier, G. 1>. Ul-
rieh, vice president and genera} manager |
of Sugarlanc} Industries, lias been called
upon for expert opinion on the taste,
understanding and disposition of the
lowly but loud bull frog. The afore-
said V. P. & G. M. has received the fol-
lowing letter from Double Bayou in
Chambers county:
“I write this letter to you to know if j
you can spare a few half-grown frogs.
I have about one thousand yearling!
frogs and think jt would be a good i
cross. Mine are the old ;,iuev v oods j
frogs. The marsh frog is not as large
as the wood frog. I crossed some of
mine- with- an~"Eiig!rsrh—bi-eed. -They
seem to be very healthy,” -
In handling this matter Mr. Ulrich
used his usual method of reference and
“follow up," but thus far'lie has not
obtained such information as will .justi-
fy the belief that lie can fill the Double
Bayou order.
