downs. Leander led only O go-
ing into the final stanza but
came out with a 29-0 victory.
Bartlett would have done bet-
ter if they had thrown each
pass out of bounds. The Bull--dogs
completed three and had
lour swiped.
Franklin Fischer Don Ruem-
lic and Ken Stauffer headed the
defensive brigade. Tackle Greg
JIammack and guard Kurt Pooh

38 but Bartlett gave up the ball
on the 29. The Lions made two
firsts before being sef back by

to the 34 and when Travis went
back to kick he didn t have
enough time and Fischer nailed
him giving Bartlett the ball at
the Lion 30. Bartlett made a
first before you guessed it
an interception by Travis halt-
ed the drive at the 10.
Two long first downs moved
the ball into Bartlett territory
but they ran out of downs at
the Bulldog 30. After a first
Bartlett punted and it was re-
turned to the 28. After a first
the Lions hit a long completion
but the receiver fumbled as he
was tackled and Bartlett recov-
ered at the quarter.
From the 21 Bartlett couldn't
move and Travis intercepted
again and returned to the Bull-
dog 34. Two first downs later
quarterback Byron Bonnett hit
center from two yards out and
Hammack's kick made the score
14-0 Bartlett received a 15 yard
penalty which was stepped off
for the ensuing kickoff. That
kickoff Bartlett fans would
rather forget anyway. Daniel
White and others watched as
three Lions fought over the ball.
Ken Keese finally came up with
it and received credit for the
touchdown. Hammack's kick
brought the score to 21-0.
Dan Volney returned the
kickoff to the 39. Bartlett made
a first and then overcame a five
yard penalty for another but
then received penalties for five
15 and five yards and gave over
the ball at the Lion 49. They
made a long first before Parks
hit left tackle for five and the
final touchdown. Quarterback
Terry Simpson ran right end
for the two points that made
the score 29-0 with 3:53 left.
Lane's 37 yard run to the five
was the big play in the drive.
Bartlettt returned the kickoff
to the 27 made a first and ran
out of downs at midfield. Ger-
ald Flowers intercepted at the
Bulldog 20 but there were only
four seconds left.
