DALLAS (API - The Dallas
Police Association contends
that Police Chief Glenn King
violates the civil rights of his
officers with an order
restricting their access to an
attorney after a shooting.
The association filed a federal
court suit Monday against both
King and the City of Dallas in
response to an order by the
chief that allows only
"authorized” persons to talk to
an officer involved in a shooting
until after he is questioned by
investigators.
The suit seeks a permanent
injunction preventing King and
other supervisors from denying
officers the right to talk to an
attorney before submitting to
questioning in situations where
the officer may be criminally
liable.
The lawsuit comes a month
after King issued the con-
troversial order stemming from
an incident involving a Dallas
police officer who shot and
killed a man reportedly
burglarizing his home.
After the shooting, officer
Denny Cain’s request to talk
with his attorney was denied by
Npervisors, who told Cain he
oast make his statement to
instigators first because of
departmental policy.

H^(y husbandis&Our sex life
- winch was once very good —
has turned sour. Almost every
attempt m the last eight months
has ended m failure. He cannot
get an erection.
At first I thought be was
seeing another woman, bit I
was wrong. Last week, we
ckscussed it frankly. He has no
idea what is wrong with bun.
All be knows is it’s frustrating
and humiliating. The reading I
have done has led me to believe
that unless a man is on
medication for diabetes or high
blood pressure, male im-
potency is caused by emotional
problems. My husband says be
will go for counseling if you
suggest it. Please guide us. —
Need Help In Cleveland
Dear N.H.: Until recently
most male impotence was
considered psychological,'
but recent research at Harvard
Medical School by Dr. Richard
Spark has thrown new light on
this subject
One-third of the sexually
impotent males he examined
suffered from a glandular
disorder. After treatment,
almost 90 percent were able to
resume sexual activity. So if a
physical examination reveals
no problem, your husband
souki seek coisiseling.
(PS. to all interested
physicians: The glandular
problem affected the level of
testosterone, a sex hormone.)

In Chicago
Dear Loving: Countless
daughters could take lessons
from you. Thanks for writing.
Dear Ann: I’m 16 and have
been going with a guy 20. My
folks have been on my case
because they don’t like him.
Joe lost his job and refuses to
look for another one. He has a
new car and new clothes and
won't tell me where he gets his
money. Last night he gave me a
real gold watch with rubies in
it My mother says I should call
the police. I couldn’t do that.
Please help me. — Donna
Dear Donna: Give the watch
back and stop seeing Joe before
the police call you. He’s bad
news, and you know it.
