Communications Satellite Cor-
poration announced today it
has notified the Federal Com-
munication • Commission it
plans to sword six-month de-
sign study contracts for con-
trolled and random medium al-
titude satellite systems.
The corporation said the
American Telephone and Tele-
graph Company and the Radio
Corporation of America, devel-
opers respectively of the Tel-
star sad relay communications
satellites, sad their subsidia-

orbit medium altitude system.
The proposals call for satel-
