Mary Evelyn Cantrell, 83, died
November 1,1995 in Texhoma Chris-
tian Care Center in Wichita Falls,
Texas.
The funeral was Friday, November
3,1995 at 11:00 a.m. under the direc-
tion of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley
Chapel in Bowie. Rev. Roger Bishop,
Pastor of Faith Baptist Church, offici-
ated. She was buried at Elmwood
Cemetery in Bowie.
She was bom March 28, 1912 in
McKinney, Tx. She and Foy B. Can-
trell, Sr. were married November 2,
1932 at Bellevue, Tx. She had been a
resident of Bowie for 48 years.
Survivors include a son, Foy Bruce
Cantrell, Jr. of Houston, Tx.; 2 daugh-
ters, Nancy Ann Ogle of Durango,
Colorado and Mary Sue Robertson of
Archer City, Tx.; 1 brother, Tom
Myers of Abilene, Tx.; 3 sisters,
Margaret Johnson of Wichita Falls,
Tx., Alice Arnold of Abilene, Tx.,
Ethel Grace Anderson of Dallas, Tx.;
9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchil-
dren, several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to the
Texhoma Christian Care Center in
Wichita Falls or the Silver Strings
Senior Citizens Group in Bowie, Tx.

DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES
Oct. 30 to Nov. 5
10-30/Deputies served civil process
in the Lakeside area; responded to a
disturbance in Holliday; assisted a
motorist in the Holliday area; re-
sponded to a disturbance at a resi-
dence in the Holliday area.
10- 31/Deputies checked on a suspi-
cious person in the Lakeside area;
assisted on a major traffic accident in
the Holliday area. The Sheriff and
Deputies responded to a report of an
armed subject, possible suicide, at-
tempt at a residence in the Windthorst
area. The Sheriff responded to a re-
port of a senior citizen wandering off,
subject was located and returned.
11- 01/Deputies responded to a report
of a possible drunk driver in the
Archer City area.
11-02/Deputies investigeated a pos-
sible incident of Arson in the south
part of the county; investigated a
Family Violence case; assisted a mo-
torist in the Scotland area.
11-03/Deputies responded to an alarm
at a residence in the north part of the
county; responded to a domestic dis-
turbance in Holliday; investigated a
report of vandalism in Archer City;
responded to a domestic disturbance
in Archer City. One subject was ar-
rested for Family Violence.
11 -04/Deputies booked in a subject on
a DWI charge; escorted a caravan
carrying a large aircraft through the
county; did follow up investigation on
a shooting in Holliday; provided civil
stand-by for a subject in Archer City.
The Sheriff and Deputies responded
to shots fired in Holliday. No one was
injured.
11 -05/Deputies responded to an alarm
at a residence in the north part of the
county; responded to a report of a
reckless driver in the Holliday area.

Dionecia Francisca Petit was bom
October 28th at Wichita General
Hospital at 9:57 a.m. She weighed 1
lb., 7 oz. Dionecia has been transfered
to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort
Worth, Texas where she had intestinal
surgery Saturday night and is listed in
critical, but stable condition.
Grandparents are Mr. & Mrs. Andy
Petit of Archer City and Mr. & Mrs.
Richard Gurra of Olney, Texas.
