COMMISSION
The Railroad Commission of Texas
has scheduled a public hearing to be
conducted Tuesday, January 9,1996,
at 2 p.m. to Conclusion at Texas and
Pacific Train Station (T&P Building),

Fort Worth, Texas, on the proposed
Union Pacific/Southern Pacific rail-
road merger. The purpose of the hear-
ing is to allow interested persons to

competition, local communities and
railroad employees.

proposed merger is neceessary or
desirable, and in the best interest of the
State of Texas.
