ASCS NEWS

CERTIFY NOW!!
There are a few producers
who have not vet certified their
1974 crop acreages. If you have 1974
finished planting your 1974
crops please measure the acre-
age and come in and certify it
IMMEDIATELY! Even though
the program is changed for 19
74 it is very important to certi-
fy your acreage ; chiefly for two
reasons; (1) in the event of a
hailstorm it is cheap insurance
as there could be a payment ap-
licable; (2) the certified acre-
age will maintain your crop al-
lotments whereas if the ac-
reage is not reported the allot
ments will be reduced andor
lost. Don't put it off - if you
liave not yet certified do it now.
NOTE: If your crop is lost
from natural causes or fails to
produce 23 of the farm yield
be sure and report the matter
and have the acreage checked
BEFORE the crop residue is de-
stroyed and the land put to an-
other use. Thanks.
sales receipts on wool mohair
and unshorn lambs immediately
after the sale is complete; oth-
erwise you may forget. Just be-
cause no payments were made
on sales transacted in the 1973
marketing year does not mean
no payment will be made in
This all depends on the
National Average price produ
cer receive during the year
which is not yet complete. To be
on the safe side - file your re-
ceipts -- because the program
is still m effect.
