I have not sold in this section a better herd of high pro-
ducers. Mrs. Norton and her son, Travis, who is asso-
ciated with her in this business, raised only the best,
used the best bulls, culled close and used the calfhood
vaccination. There has never been a reactor or suspi-
cious animal on the farm. If you want the better kind,
you will find them in this herd. The equipment is all
late model, and in first class condition. You are invited
to see them and the equipment. Travis can tell you the
age and production of every cow, as he has raised them.

In Estes Trial
El Paso, Mar. 23 ifi — Test-
imony came to a close yester-
day in the Billie Sol Estes fed-
eral Fraud trial at El Paso and
the court is recessed today.
Federal District Judge R.
Ewing Thomason said he would
begin hearing arguments in the
case on Monday morning. Court
is to re-eonvene at 9:30 a. m.
Thomason denied a renewed
motion for a directed verdict of
acquital in the case from chief \
defense attorney John Cofer
'of Austin.
However, the veteran jurist
and former congressman did
grant a government motion to
dismiss two of the 16 counts
in the indictment against Estes.

Scanlan has been director of
United Funds at Lubbock the
past year. Previously, he held
a similar post at Tyler, and
was associate director of the
Texas United Funds with head-
quarters at Dallas.

An airman from Gainesville,
Tex., held at Tucson in the
slaying of a prominent Tucson
woman admitted another mur-
der today.
Sheriff Waldon Burr said
Airman First Class Murvin Les-
lie Davis, stationed at Davis -
Monthan Air Force base in Tuc-
son, admitted the icepick slay-
ing of 62-year-old Mrs. Pauline
Saxon in her Tucson home last
Oct. 2nd.
A part-time salesman and
father of three children, the
27-year-old Davis already is
charged with murder in the
strangulation W e d n esday of
50-year-old Mrs. Lucile Betten.
