Bill Allen Jackson was host to
a group of his friends at his home

noon in celebration of his ninth

A pyramid of white cathedral
tapers carting a soft glow on the
background of greenery formed
of huekleberry foliage and lemon
leaf flanked by two white wedding
baskets filled with white gladioli
and white stock will form the
retting for the wedding ceremony.
Marking the pews will be nosegays
of white flowers and satin ribbon
bows.
The bride, to be given in mar-
riage bv her father, will wear an
original model wait* length gown
of gossamer tulle and Chantilly
lace over white taffeta. The mold-
ed bodice is designed with a deep
yoke of lace sppliqued over taf-
feta. A pert stand-up collar ac-
centuates the high neckline and
fhoit sleeves of lace are finished
in a scalloped design. Tulle mitts
terminate to petal points at the
wrist. The houffant skirt, worn
over crinolins, is of multiple .lay-
ers of tulle and falls from a deep
pointed waistline. Banners of the
tulle form a deep peplum at each
side. ’
Her waist length veil of import-
ed illusion falls in tiers' from a
half-hat of pleated tulle appliqued
in dainty cut-out flowers and ac-
cented with seed pearls. She will
carry a bride's bouquet fashioned
of gardenias.
Mrs. Don Brice will attend her
sister-in-law as matron, of honor
and Misses Mary and Martha
Brice, the bride’s sisters, will light
flu candles.
Mrs. Bnce will wear a walU-
; length rown of nile-gieen taffeta
over Which she will wear a nylon
net redingote of matching color.
Her flowers will be a nosegay of
gardenias.

Cedar Hill, the country home of
Mr. ami Mr*. Huell Bridges was
the scene of the annual Treble
Clef Club picnic on Wednesday
afternoon, April 22. Members and
guest* were received hy the host-
ess, Mrs. Bridges, and Mrs. Waire
Currin.
During the afternoon various
table games were enjoyed. Hugh
score honors were awarded to Mrs.
H. 0. Day and Mrs. Bill Allen.
At 5 o’clock guests were Invited
to the spacious porch where long
tables were spread with a delicious
picnic dinner. The invocation was
given hy Mrs. 11. O. Dsy.
’ This being the last meeting of
the season the club adjourned to
meet dgaln the first Wednesday
in October.
