Nursing Home Notes

VVc survived the inside painting and
most things are back in place. The out-
side has also been cleaned and readied
tor painting. We're very proud of the
facelift our home is getting. We wel-
come everyone to come inspect the
changes.
Thanks to Patsy Barton's 1st grade
class for the Easter decorations for our
residents.
Tuesday bingo hostesses were Leo-
na Koetter, Mildred Pennartz and Paul-
ine Hoff. We welcome Pauline as a
new volunteer. Metra Prewett was
blackout winner. Other winners were
Viola Lo'wack, Josie Lindeman, Pat
Simmons, Bess Dawdy, Gladys Kile,
Jcncll Haigwood, Alta Drum, Pattie
Pippin, Maudcll Bennett, Emma Han-
dents.
Friday afternoon we had an Easter
egg hunt for the pre-schoolers of the
area. Our residents watched the chil-
dren hunt the eggs. Then they were all
treated to cookies and punch. We
appreciate Chris Davis and Melissa
Graves for helping and thanks to all
the mothers who brought their chil-
dren.
Thanks to Jimmie Hamm for the
beautiful Easter lily.
Bill and Pat Hemmi visited Katie
Hemmi.
Ruth Moore taught the Sunday
School lesson. Elton McWhorter and
members of the Church of Christ con-
ducted afternoon services. Several
members were present for services.

Crew Tryouts
There will be a meeting for all
parents of girls interested in trying out
for cheerleader, being on the Eaglettes
Drill Team or being a member of our
nbwly formed Pep Squad for the 1991
football season. Girls must reside in
the Holliday school district or attend
Holliday school. Girls trying out for
cheerleader and Eaglettes must be in
the 2nd through 6lh grade for school
year 91-92 and girls in kindergarten
through 6th grade for the Pep Squad.
The meeting will be Thursday, April
11 at 7 p.m. at Applause School of
Dance.
This meeting is mandatory for all
parents of girls trying out for cheer-
leader and information and sign-up
will be provided for Drill Team and
Pep Squad.
Cheerleader tryouts will be held
Sunday, April 14 at 2 p.m.
