forecast the Texas cotton crop
this morning at 4,700,000 bales.
That’s a decline of 75,000 bales

Galveston, Nov. 8 UP)-—A suit
to enjoin a Texas City abstract
company official from what the
State Bar of Texas alleged was
unauthorized practice of law
was filed at Galveston today.
The suit names John V. Fox,
Sr., of Guaranty Abstract Com-
pany a n d an employe, Mrs.
Frances W. Norris. It was
brought by the State Bar of
Texas through its unauthoriz-
ed practice committee.
The suit cites six specific-
cases in which the abstract firm
is alleged to h a v e prepared
warranty deeds. The bar
charged that this represented
only part “of a general course
of c o n duct and practice en-
gaged in” by the company.
The petition was signed by
Davis Grant of Austin, state
bar general counsel. It asks
that the company and its offic-
ials and employes and agents
be “perpetually” rest rained
from the alleged illegal prac-
tice of law.
