Cats Smear (Tloguis
In Final Game
The Archer City Mild cats
in their last f ootball game
of the season, soundly an-
nihilated the Munday Ke-
guls, i.i9-0, to end the sea-
sen in "a blaze of glory.11
As the Cats took the
field, some for the last
time, it seemed evident
that AC was determined to
win at least one district
game. In the ensueing two
hours, the Cats scored 7
tirnes, simultaneously hold-
ing the Moguls scoreless
even though the visiting
team, on occasion, managed
to advance to the 1st line.
In the course of the
game, there were several
unusual occurances, such
as an extra point by "Gol-
den Toe" Lee Cathey, and
full-back Hard Campbell and
quarterback Ronnie Mill isms
switching positions.
The junior varsity even
got into the act, playing
most of the fourth quarter.
The Cat's seemed to have
a good time, and, even
though it wasn't for the
district title,played hard
and well to prove that,
"even though the Cats are
down, they never give up,"
