OCTET PRESENT F0R FOOTBALL
The Grade School Choral Club
and the High School Rhythmettes
presented a Christmas program
Monday night at 7:30 in the High
School Auditorium. The program
consisted of an operetta preceded
by carols sung by the Rhythmettes
in which the audience was asked to
parto.ke in the last few.
The Choral Club processed .
through the auditorium dressed
as winged angels and proceeded to
sing to and praise the new-born
King as He lay in his crib in the
nativity setting* Celie Slack
and Glenda Sturgeon sang solos
as the angel, and the mother,
Mary.
The program was directed by
Mrs. Spera and was accompanied
by Tissa Roberts.
Both ”An and nB" teams were
honored with a football banquet
given at the American Legion Hall
Thursday night, December 3» The
guest speaker fee the evening was
I Coach Joe Saitta,.. of Mu we stern
University. Coaches 'Thompson and
Cofer were presented sport coats
from the football boys of the
,;A” squad, Coaches English and
Waldrip were also presented jac-
kets by the boys of the t:Bn squad.
The dinner music was furnished by
Tissa Roberts-
The football banquet is an
annual, affair given by’he Quarter-
back Club in honor of the boys
and their parents.
