Those in the 3rd grade who
made red stars in reading
last- week were Elsie Brink-
ley, Clotill Rains, Frances
Whitmore, Euilee Akins,
Glenda LeeMcReynolds,Clara
Lee Fielder, David Francis,
Leon Parks, Charles Simp-
son, Lucy Presson, Ruby Hum-
phreys and Loy Humphreys.
Those who got blue stars were
Jolynda Erskine, Billie Jean
Cooper and Everett Knox. If
we mispronounce over three
words we cannot get a red
star. If we mispronounce
over five words we cannot get
a blue star.
Among those who are dec-
orating for Christmas are
Green’s Lunchroom, Young’s
Cafe, J.E. Malone Grocery and
Stockton Drugstore.
Mr. H. Bost transacted busi-
ness in Dallas last Saturday.
Mrs. Abe Green was a vis-
itor to Sherman Monday.
Miss Harriet Harrison and
mother spent Saturday and
Sunday with relatives at
Greenville.
Mrs. J.D. Taylor made a
business visit to Sherman
Wednesday.
Miss Evelyn Parker spent
the Thanksgiving holidays in.
Sherman with Miss Lena Cum-
mings.
Miss Ella Mae Odom spent
Thanksgiving with her grand-
father, Mr. J.D. Stark.
Miss Marshall Mynatt spent
Thanksgiving in Gunter.
Mr. Arlie Mode attended a
show in Sherman.
Misses Mildred and Doris
George spent Thanksgiving
with their grandmother, Mrs.
J.Hi. George.
Mr. Paul Francis ate din-
ner with his friends, A.D0 and
Millard McMahan, and later
attended a football game in Me
Kinney Thursday.
Mr. J.W. Fielder attended
a show in Sherman Thanks giv-
ing day.

Gene Stephens, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Waller, re-
turned Sept. 8 from his tour of
duty in the Navy. He was last
stationed in Japan.
Jimmy Wormsbaker, also
a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Waller, left Sept. 16 for a tour
of duty at Ft. Bliss in El Paso.

Orr. Students attending Gray-
son County Junior College are

Gouard, Bobby Hamilton, Jim-
my Watson and Bill Cloud.
Janie Thompson is studying on
the campus of Texas Women’s
University in Denton. Carol
Sue England is attending Dal-
las Baptist College in Dallas.
At Abilene Barry McDaniel is
studying on the campus ofHar-
din-Simmons University. If
