Message to the Robber of
Graves:
What if you had been buried in
our local cemetery and someone
took the cross from your grave?
How would you feel?
The white wooden cross with
barbed wire and stars that you
took was purchased by my grand-
children for their “Pappy” to be
left on his grave. Now—you have
robbed them of the joy and know-
ing it was for all to see that they
loved their Pappy.
I pray that your heart will ache
until you realize the heartache
you caused someone else.
Maybe your conscience will let
you know you did wrong and ask
for forgiveness and return the
cross to Thurman Mahler’s
grave.
