Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Phelps have re-
ceived a letter from their son, Sgt.
Jack Phelps stating that he has
his destination and is now in Italy,
its better than he expected it to be
Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs.
H. R. Motley were their children,
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Motley and
famill of Grand Prairie and Mr. and
Mrs. Travis Motley of Reinhardt.
S. F. Caldwell, injured when a
tractor overturned on him in May
1942 while he was working for the
county on the old Kaufman road,
and who spent weeks in the hospital,
says he is still not up to par. How-
ever he works at an Industrial plant
in Dallas putting in so many days
each week. His recovery was remark-
able; and he looks strong and well,
even though he does not fell so good.
We appreciated his visit to the Mes-
quiter office.

tained the B. T. U. at their home

played after which guests were
served sandwiches, hot chocolate and

tin Lane, returned home Tuesday
after spending last week with Mrs.
Lancaster’s relatives in Tallulah, La.
Mrs. Lawrencce E. Murdock, Jr.
Great Bend Kansas, is visiting her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evans,
Buckner Blvd. Her husband, Lieut.
Lawrence E. Murdock, Jr. is in New
York for futher training.
Mr. Tom McCutcheon, Scyene
Road, visited his son and his family,
Mr. and Mrs. William McCutcheon,
In Houston last week. He was ac-
companied home by his little grand-
daughter, Virginia McCutcheon, Vir-
ginia entered the Scyene School Mon-
day.
Ernest Dasch, a former resident
of Scyene and a son-in-law of Mr.
and Mrs. Tom McCutcheon, is in
Baylor Hospital where he underwent
an operation on Wednesday of last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Harrell, Bobbie
and Jacie, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Barker
and Jimmie Dallas visited Mr. and
Mrs. C. C. Brown during the week-
end.

to the cruel and outrageous treat-
ment of this plaintiff by the defen-

ed, plaintiff prays that defendant be
cited by publication and upon final
hearing hereof that she be granted
a divorce, that plaintiff’s former,
name of Audra Mae Orr be restored,
and such other relief to which she
may be entitled.

prays defendant be cited by publica-
tion and upon final hearing hereof,
he be granted a divorce and such
other relief to which he may he en-
titled.

due to the cruel treatment of this
plaintiff by the defendant all of
which would make their further

riage, one of whom is under the age
of 16, a boy Billy Bob Turner age
13 years; said child having been in
the custody of plaintiff since the day
of separation. Premises considered,
plaintiff prays defendant be cited by
publication and upon final hearing
hereof, she be granted a divorce,
custody of child and such other re-
lief to which she may be entitled.
