Book Description
Stepping Into Womanhood: A
Black Woman ‘s Poetic Journey
speaks to the varying realities of
today’s Black woman and uplifts
her in her experiences. As African
American women continue to
tread the road to self-awareness
and spiritual understanding,
Stepping Into Womanhood will
serve as yet another reflection of
her growth and discovery of self-
identified Black womanhood.
The collection captures the
spectrum of emotions experienced
by Black women and embraces the
very essence of their existence.
From the elevating Essence of a
Queen, to the stark, yet humbling /
Hate You, Traci Brooks is sure to
establish a sense of sisterhood with
her readers as she so adeptly
touches them with her poetry.

athletes bold their coaches in high
esteem and look to them as mentors
to guide them through foe of
difficult choices.

from across the city will participate
in everything from haskrth^l to
