Wilderness
experience
Reverend Scott Dingle
Life is full of wilderness experiences.
Each day that we are blessed to be
amongst the land of the living, we
awake to a wilderness of trials,
temptations, and tests called life!
Every man, woman, an child will
always be in one of three positions:
Preparing to enter into a wilderness
experience, in the middle of a wil-
derness experience, or coming out of
a wilderness experience, itis another
When the funds are low the debts are
high; when you want to smile, you
can only sigh; when you find one,
you loose the other, when you finally
make ends meet, someone moves
the ends; when you finally get to the
light at the end of the tunnel, you find
that there is another tunnel. Life is a
wilderness experience!
Moses told the children of Israel that
God has led them for forty years in
the wilderness; To humble them, to
prove them, to know what was in
.heir heart, and to see
whether or not they would keep his
commandments. But in the middle
of their wilderness experience, they
would often take their eyes off of
God an focus on the wilderness.
Our wilderness experiences are only
tests. We have to focus on God. Who
will guide us through the wilderness.
Keep your eyes on the Lord who is a
light "Unto Your Path And A Lamp
Unto Your Feet." God is not going to
grade our test results on a curve.
Hold on, when times get tough, be-
cause it is only a wilderness experi-
ence! _

In Memory of
Sister Mahulda
Ann Williams
Farewell, my dear aunt, as the time
drew near you know the time every
loved one fears when the pain and
suffering seems too much to bear
and it also seems that no one cares.
But as we all know the Lord stepped
in and told us "my children this is the
end." Words cannot express the loss
we feel, the pain, the sorrow some
say time will heal because on that
day we lost our anchor, our chain,
our rope. Right now, it seems as if
there is no hope.
But rest assured my friends, our
Lord took her home where she can
sing and praise him all the day long.
Composed by Rachel Y. Dunn
God called her home on Thursday,
May 15,1997. She leaves to mourn
a sister, Mrs. Marie Satterfield; four
nieces, Mrs. Veda Adams, Mrs. Jane
Harrison of Tucson, Arizona, Mrs.
Paulette Bright and her husband, Mr.
Willie Bright, and Mrs. Jo Ann
Texas;two
nephews, Mr. John H. Smith Jr. and
his wife, Mrs. Florine Smith of San
Antonio, Texas and Mr. James
Nathaniel Smith of Berkley, Calif.;
five great nieces, nine great neph-
ews, six great great nieces, one great
great nephews a special "play
daughter," Mrs. Dorothy Mitchell
and her husband, Mr. Wilbert
Mitchell.
