Operation ABC to
reduce child crash
fatalities
In the last few months alone,
several San Antonio residents and
their children have died in traffic
accidents because they were not
wearing seatbelts. Six out of ten
children killed in crashes are
completely unrestrained. Research
shows that when drivers are not
buckled, children riding with them
are not buckled 76% of the time.
Operation ABC: America Buckles
Up Children is a national
mobilization designed to raise seat
belt use and reduce child crash
fatalities. In support of Operation
ABC Mobilization, Methodist
Healthcare is distributing forms
for reporting drivers who are in
violation of' the Texas Child
Passenger Safety law. According
to the law, a child under the age of
two must be protected in a child
safety seat and a child age 2 to 4
must be restrained by a safety belt.

published or not, can be a winner,”

about our free poetry contest, they
suddenly realize that their own
poetic works of art can win cash
prizes, as well as gain national
recognition,” continued Campos.

Jacobs, former Executive Vice
