Mrs. August Vitek entertained
with a pre-Thaaksgiving dinner
at her 'home Sunday for her chil-
dren. Those present were Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Vitek and daughters
Laura, and June of Granger, Mr
and Mrs. Daniel Volney and chil-
dren Carol Jean Danny Jim-
my and Janie Marie of Bartlett,
Mr. and' Mrs: Carl Langenegger
and daughter Joyce Ann of Weir
Joe Vitek and daughters, Karen
and Sheri of Houston, and Al-
fred Vitek.
Recent visitors in the Buck
Pope home were Victor Marek
and Miss Modene Poppelz both
of Austin, Mr. and Mrs. B. R.
Spiars of Granger and Miss Ber-
nice Denson of Taylor.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Young
and daughter, Debbie, of Austin
spent the weekend' in the Louis
Pavliska home and attended the
annual fall picnic and dance at
he Catholic recreation center
Sunday.
Frank Dlouhy of Taylor was a
Sunday visitor here with his
daughter, Mrs. Henry Kaminsky
and Mr. Kaminsky.
MYF Entertained
At Hayride, Supper
Twenty-two members of the
Methodist Youth Fellowship of the
First Methodist Church went on
the hayride and wiener roast to
the Wilson Fox Riverside Ranch
Friday evening.
The young people went by

Fellowship Hour
BARTLETT, Nov. 23 (Spl) —
Mrs. E .E. Cryer was hostess to
Circle I WSCS of the First Metho-
dist Church at her home Mon-
day afternoon.
Attractive floral arrangement
were used in the living room.
Mrs. R. E. Bunker gave the
opening prayer, and led’ the pro-
gram on “The Household of
God.” The hymn “The Church’s
One Foundation” was sung by
the group and Mrs. Carl Richards
read the scripture from Gala-
tians.
The World Methodist Council,
World Council of Churches and
the Federation of Methodist Wo-
men were discussed by Mrs.
George Fowler, Mrs. S. L. Rob-
erts, Mrs. M. M. Lealherman,
Mrs. C. E. Lamb and Mrs. JOe
Bridges.
There were 32 sick visits re-
ported. Plans for the Fellowship
hour after Community Thanks-
giving services were discussed.
The meeting closed by repeat-
ing the hymn “O Love that
Wilt Not Let Me Go.”
