CONDITIONS
The plant must be rent by express,
mail or fretght, charges prepaid, ad-
dressed to the “Coiton Carnival Cottou
Plant Committee. Galveston, Texas,” A
card must be attached to the plant, with
the name of the sender written thereon
and the number of bolls tbe plant con-
tains. A letter must also be written by
the sender to The Serai Weekly Farm
News, Galveston, Texas, statiughow the
plaut is sent and the number ot bolls it
contains and the name of the seed from
which it was grown. The bolls will be
counted immediately upon optniug the
package, The plant must reach Galves-
ton not later than July 30, 1909, tobe
counted in the contest.
It will not be necessary to have auy of
the soil accompanying the piant.. Pack
it so tbe stalks will not be broken, as
the bolls must be attached to the plant
or they will not be counted. The plant
j can be packeddn a sack, crated or wrap-
jped.
The Cottou Carnival Cott -n Plant Com

C.C.Burns and J. E. Kauffman, has beeu
appointed by the Cotton Carnival Execu-
tive Committee to count the cotton bwlls
and award the prizes.
