THE EX-MARINE
r j
This is the time of year to
start putting out supplemental
minerals for your livestock.
This hot dry weather is drying
out the grass and making this
grass low in protein and miner-
als. Before long your animals
will begin to lose weight, start
eating bones, Wire, pieces of
tin and some of them will begin
ta get down in the back and
hind legs.
Of course, all livestock that
are lacking in minerals do not
show these symptoms but may
be unthrifty, may not breed
normally, or produce a weak
offspring.
iSome of the best minerals to
supply here, are steamed (bone
meal, disidium phosphate, dis-
calCium phosphate, or some of
the other commercially mixed
minerals. Bone meal is about
the cheapest and should be
available now. Feed any of
these minerals in a self feeder
box separate or mixedd two
(2) parts salt and one (1) part
mineral. Let the animals eat
all they Want. They will take
only what their systems need.
It matters not what animals
eat this mineral as they all
probably need it.
Let’s stock up now for the
fall and winter 'before it is toq
late.
Sunday school at 10:00 a. m.
Worship service at 11:00 a. m.
No choir rehearsal for the
next two weeks.
Holy Communion will be ad-
ministered in the service Sun-
day morning. Christ command
ed a faithful use of this sacra-
ment when He said, “This do
as oft as ye drink it in remem-
brance of Me” We too need the
precious treasures of this sacra-
ment, especially the remission
of our sins.
We sin daily and often. “If
we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves', and the
truth is not in us.” I John 1, 8
Coming penitently and believ-
ingly to the Table of the Lord
we have the assurance of the
forgiveness of all our sins. Thq
blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son,
our Savior, cleanses us from all
sin.
