The cheapest and still the
best method of Curing “pink
eye”, is to blow sulphanilamide
dust in the affected eye.
If you apply the dust as soon
as the eye begins to run water,
one or two applications gener-
ally stops the infection.

“Blessed is the nation whose
God is the Lord.” Psu 33, 12.
Our American nation was pre-
dominantly Christian in the
early days. The closing words
in the Declaration of Indepen-
dence confessed the nation's
dependence on God. The first
American day of humiliation,
fasting and prayer, in 1776, was
appointed by l-lftngress so that
the Colonies might “through
the merits of mediation of
th* I Jesus Christ, obtain His par-
don and forgiveness.” In the

ed a resolution suggesting that
our people seek God's help
.“through Jesus Christ.”
We have drifted away from
this safe mooring as many of
us know. Today we need to turn
'from our indifference, callous-
ness and unbelief of God’s Word

Where His
name is rejected the nation is
doomed. God will not continue
to bless a people in which un-
belief certainly grows bolder.
The verdict of His Word and

“If they will not obey, I will'
utterly pluck up and destroy
that nation, saith the Lord.”

’s the way I like to see them," said Gen.
MacArthur when he saw the rows of dead Japs
in the Admiralty Islands. In this war—the
costliest, cruelest war of all time—
our boys must fight with savage
fury. Kill or be killed! And on how
well each plays his part depends the
lives of many of his buddies.
Here on the home front, too, just
cheering the attack on isn’t epough.
That’s why there’s a Fifth War Bond drive on
now, a drive in which you’re needed to support the
men on the fighting fronts who are facing the
most treacherous forces Americans
have ever met in combat. We on the
home front can’t let them down—and
we won’t. So resolve now to at least
double your Bond buying in the 5th
War Loan drive. This is the time to
do better than your best.
The Fifth War Loan starts
