Margurete Hoffman Raymond Stanford
Marguiete Louise Wick-
ham Hoffman lost her coura-
geous fight on September 26,
2011 in Hospice of Wichita
Falls. She was born August
19, 1936 in Post Oak, Texas
to James and Altaq Medley.
Louise spent a number of
years in Loving Texas in the
dairy, oil industry and was a
retail business owner. In re-
cent years, she was the found-
er and owner of The Legacy
in Wichita Falls. She was an
avid gardener, and thoroughly
enjoyed nature and flowers.
She could see the beauty in
things others discarded and
loved decorating with her gift
of creativity.

Annelle Shipp Smith of
Texas City, Tx. formerly of
Fritch, Texas passed away on
Wednesday August 31, 2011.
She was born in Newport,
Tx. on July 20, 1913 to Lula
and O.M. Shipp.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, her husband,
Greer Smith, son, Jack Smith
and brother John Shipp.
Nell graduated from
North Texas State Teacher’s
College. She taught school
for 1 year in Newport, Texas,
4 years in Post Oak, Texas,
Electra, Texas for 3 yearsand
Phillips Texas for 26 years.
She is preceded in death
by her parents, her husband,
Greer Smith, son, Jack Smith
and brother John Shipp.
She is survived by her
grandsons, Russell Smith,
David Smith and wife Bar-
bara, granddaughter, Dana
Mayor and husband Doug,
great grandchildren, Matt and
Jordan Monford and Jenna
Mayor, daughter in law and
husband Jan and Bob Viglini,
nieces and husbands, Jane and
Lance Morris, Barbara and
John Ahiquist Jeannie and Pat
Ford and nephew, Rex Shipp.

daughter, Tracy Gray; son in
law, Chris Gray of Electra;
daughters, Karen Wickham of
Electra and Sherry Jennings
of Fort Worth; her grand-
children, Alexandria Louise
Gray, Xander Gray, Elizabeth
Gray, Ella Gray all of Electra,
Heather Weddle of Austin,
April McLemore of Las Ve-
gas, Nevada and Renee Roach
of Arlington; several great
grandchildren; her brothers,
James "Sterling” Medley and
wife Helen, Bobby Medley
and wife Mary; a siter, Marie
Ellis and husband Jack all of
Bowie; her treasured, life long
friend, Jeannette Streadwick;
and her beloved companions,
Gypsy and Caleb.
She was preceded in death
by her parents, James and Alta
Medley; and her husband,
Walter Hoffman.
The funeral service will be
conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday,
September 29, 2011 in the
chapel of Owens and Brumely
Funeral Home with Rev. Tom
Medley, officiating. Interment
will follow at Post Oak Cem-
etery in Post Oak, Texas .
The family received
friends from 6:30 until 7:30
p.m. Wednesday, September
28, 2011 at Owens and Bru-
mely Funeral Home of Wich-
ita Falls.

Raymond Ogden Stan-
ford, age 88, died Wednesday,
September 21, 2011 in Wichi-
ta Falls, Texas.
Funeral services were held
at 2 p.m. Monday, Septem-
ber 26, 2011 at First Baptist
Church of Electra with Rev.
Charles Nichols officiating.
Burial was in New Electra
Cemetery under the direction
of Dutton Funeral Home of
Iowa Park, Texas.
Raymond was born Sep-
tember 27, 1922 in Electra,
Texas to Arther Glenn and
Ronnie Emily Smith Stan-
ford. He and Pauline Hunter
were married September
21, 1940 in Electra, Texas.
He was a lifetime resident
of Electra. He wasa past
member of the Trail Blazers
Square Dance Club of Electra
and was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Electra. He
worked as a warehouse fore-
man for West Tex Seat Covers
until his retirement. Raymond
served in the US Navy dur-
ing WWII. He was a Radar-
man 3rd class aboard the USS
Leutze DD0481 from October
1943 until December 1945.
He received the American
Campaign Medal, Asiatic-
Pacific Campaign Medal with
5 stars,
Pacific Campaign Medal
with 5 stars, Philippine Cam-
paign Medal with 2 stars and
World War II Victory Medal.
The ship participated in the
battles at Palau, Leyte Gulf,
Lingayen Gulf, Iwo Jima,
Okinawa and Surigao Straits.

Paul Gene Goodman,
age 70 died September 24,
2011 in Miami, Texas.
Services were held at
1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sep-
tember 28, 2011 at First
Baptist Church of Miami,
with Pastor Dennis Wil-
liams, offiicating.
Burial was in Miami
Cemetery under the direc-
tion of Carmichael-What-
ley Funeral Directors of
Pampa.
Mr. Goodman was born
November 16, 1940 in
Electra, graduating from
Electra High School in
1959. He graduated from
Arlington State College in
1965 with a B.S. in mathe-
matcis and a minor in phys-
ics. Paul married Donna
Byrum on August 19, 1967
in Miami. He was a com-
puter systems programmer
and analyst for 23 years. He
served as Mayor of Miami
from 1983-1985. He taught
high school math in Miami
for a year. Paul was a mem-
ber of First Baptist Church
in Miami where he served
as Sunday school director
and teacher and he led the
singing during worship ser-
vices. He enjoyed bowling,
golf, playing dominos and
bridge. Paul wasa loving
husband, father and grand-
father. He especially en-
joyed spending time wiht
his grandchildren.
Survivors include his
wife Donna Goodman of
the home; three daughters,
Amy Mabrey and husband
Craig of Plano, Lori Dos-
sey and husband Dr. Adam
Dossey of Tyler and Carla
Cozort and husband Jeff
of Frisco; 8 grandchil-
dren: Ashley and Lindsey
Mabrey of Plano, Daniel,
Dylan and Dustin Dossey
of Tyler; Britton, Mack-
enzie and Noah Cozort of
Paul Gene Goodman
Frisco; 2 brothers-in-
law: Charles Byrum and
wife Ann of Miami and
David Byrum of Abilene.
He was preceded in death
by his parents: Homer and
Lorene Goodman.
