Winnie pharmacist Andy Wilcox
can’t count the times his dad, Charles
“Bubba” Wilcox, got an emergency
phone call on his day off and had to
go to his pharmacy in Anahuac to fill
a prescription.
“I know of at least two times we
were on the golf course and had to
leave in the middle of a round be-
cause he had to go back to the store
and fill someone’s prescription,”
Andy recalled. “It was very com-
mon. He did it all the time and he
never minded. We would get a phone
call at home and he would drop
everything and go up to the store to
fill a prescription for someone. Some-
times he would go up to the phar-
macy three or four times a day on his
day off.”
