Cathedral Court #246 of
the Catholic Daughters of
America celebrated their 96th
anniversary with a luncheon
Aug. 22 at Longhorn Steak
House.
Women of Corpus Christi
Cathedral founded the court,
one of the oldest in the state,
in 1914. Its purpose is to
participate in the religious,
charitable and educational
apostolate of the Church.
CDA courts engage in a
variety of programs to posi-
tively influence the welfare
of the church and its people.
Cathedral Court #246 sup-
ports approximately 10 local
charities including diocesan
seminarians and scholarship
funds.

After their celebration, the
court sat down for some plan-
ning of the upcoming year’s
charitable and spiritual ac-
tivities.
The court will host its An-
nual Advent Morning of Re-
flection with Bishop Dan-
iel Flores of the Diocese of
Brownsville on Dec. 4 at the
Cathedral. The event is as a
part of its spiritual enhance-
ment program.
