First Annual Car Show
Declared Huge Success
(From front page)
Classic cars and classic
people were much in evidence
at the Super Wal*Mart park-
ing lot a few weeks ago. The
occasion was the first annual
Car Show, hosted by Tarking-
ton Project Graduation - and
sponsors and attendees alike
declared the day to be an un-
qualified success. The show
was open to all makes and
models - and, as indicated by
these photos, that's exactly
what showed up - an impres-
sive gathering of refurbished
and lovingly rebuilt automo-;
biles from all decades. The
Car Show also included a si-|
lent auction, door prizes, a 50|
50 drawing - and awards for;
proud car owners in several
categories. All of the proceeds;
benefitted Tarkington Project^
Graduation - a special nightj
sponsored by the school, theg
staff, and dedicated parent^
that provides hours of fun,;
food and prizes to exhilarated:
seniors. Project Graduation^
I takes place every year - and so
will the Car Show.
