The W. M. U. of the Baptist
Church met Monday afternoon in
Sunbeam Hall for a business meet-
ing.
'ilrs. Neal Edwards, president,
was in charge. The devotional AAras
led' by Mrs. A. L. Meek.
The W.VM..U. decided to make
up boxes for the aged people and
shut-ins of the community and
pi’esent them next Monday.
A “Who Am I?” program was
conducted by Mrs. Edwards, and
Mrs. W. B. Carey dismissed Avith
prayer.

Presbyterian Church
The cold and wet Aveather of
last Aveek curtailed the plans of
the churches and schools of our
city. But there are ahvays some
Avho are so situated that they can
get to Sunday School and church
during inclement and cold Aveath-
er. Next Sunday is the Sunday be-
fore Christmas. We trust the Avea-
ther Avill toe favorable so all our
friends and members of our
church and Sunday School can at-
tend all the services. Important
announcements will be made and
services will be conducted in keep-
ing Avith the 'Season.

School 10:00 a.m., Preaching-Wor-
ship service 11:00 a.m., and Youth
Church at 7:30 p.m. We extend to
the public a very cordial invita-

Presbyterian church.
At the 11:00 a.m. hour the Choir

bring some special Christmas mes-
sages in song. The pastor will

ushers. Erleene Matheson and Glo-
rine Reams are the committee on
entertainment. Everyone is invited
to this Youth Church program-
young, adults, all. It should be a
great inspiration to anyone to see
these fine young people conducting
a church Avorship service just as
reverent arid devotional as any
preacher. After the Youth Church
service all AA’ill retire to McCon-
nell Hall for a short study of
Church Government and a social
hour of fine fellow ship. The
