Of Hearing To Appropriate
Public Waters Of The State
Of Texas
No. 2027
Notice is hereby given to
whom concerned that Teniente
Water Improvement District, Wil-
lacy County No. One, the post,
office address of which is Ray-
mondville, Texas, on the 11th
day of March, 1957, filed its ap-
plication in the office of the
Board of Water Engineers for the
State of Texas, in which it ap-
plies for a permit to appropriate
of the unappropriated waters of
the State of Texas, from North
Floodway, a tributary of Laguna
Madre, in Cameron County, Tex-
as, not to exceed 4,000 acre feet
of water per annum, by impound-
ing 1680 acre feet in existing re-
servoirs filling and refilling as
water is available, and to divert
therefrom 3,750 acre feet for the
irrigation of 2,006.9 acres of land
in the Teniente League in Wil-
lacy County, Texas, and 250 acre
feet to be used for domestic use,
all being more fully set out in
said application.
The water will be diverted
from the North Flood way on
either side of Hidalgo-Willacy
Counties Water Control and Im-
provement District No. One’s
siphon under said North Flood-
way, the East point bearing South
20 degrees 17 minutes East a dis-
tance of 1,885 feet of the North-
east corner of the Llano Grande
Grant in Cameron County, Tex-
as, on the south bank of the Pilot
Channel of the North Floodway
distant from Raymondville, Tex-
as, about 13 miles; and the West
point bears South 31 degrees 31
minutes West 2,010 feet from the
Northeast corner of the Llano
Grande Grant oh the south bank
of the Pilot Channel of the North
Floodway, Cameron County, dis-
tant about 13 miles from Ray-
mondville, Texas.
A hearing on the application
of the said Teniente Water Im-
provement District, Willacy Co.
No. One will be held by the
Board of Water Engineers for the
State of Texas, in the office of
the Board at Austin, Texas, on
Monday, May 6, 1957, beginning
at two o’clock p.m., at which
time and place all parties inter-
ested may appear and he heard.
Those opposing the granting of
said application should file writ-
ten protests with the Board and
-the applicant at least five days
prior to hearing date, giving
their reasons therefor and such
other information as is required
by Board Rule 305.2. Such hear-
ing will be continued from time
to time, and from place to place,
if necessary, until such determi-
nation has been made relative
to said application as the said
Board of Water Engineers may
deem right, equitable and pro-
per.
Given under and by virtue of
an order of the Board of Water
Engineers for the State of Texas,
at the office of the said Board
at Austin, Texas, this the 11th
day of March, 1957.

agreement with the housing au-
thority of Willacy County, Texas.
Pursuant to a Resolution duly
adopted on the 13th day of
March, 1957 by the Navigation
and canal commissioners of the
Willacy County, Texas Naviga-
tion District notice is hereby
given of the intention of the Wil-
lacy County Navigation District
to enter into a Cooperation
Agreement with the Housing
Authority of Willacy County,
Texas, and further;
Notice is hereby given that at
the expiration of sixty (60) days
from March 21, 1957 the Wil-
lacy County Navigation District
will consider the question of
Whether or not it will enter into
a Cooperation Agreement with
fhe Housing Authority of Willacy
County, Texas. A copy of the
proposed Cooperation Agreement
is available for the inspection
of the public at the office of the
Navigation District during busi-
ness hours.
