A Gentle Laxative
Good For Children
Most any child who takes this
tasty laxative once will welcome it
the next time he’s constipated and
it has him headachy, cross, listless,
with had breath, coated tongue or
little appetite.
Syrup of Black-Draught is a tasty
liquid companion to the famous
BLACK-DRAUGHT. The principal
ingredient is the same in both
products; helps impart tone to lazy
bowel muscles.
The Syrup’s flavor appeals to
most children, and, given by the
simple directions, its action is
usually gentle, but thorough. Re-
member Syrup of Black-Draught
next time. Two sizes: 50c and 25c.

POAGE ASKS FOR RE-ELECTION FOR CONGRESSMAN FROM TEXAS
--—CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, NUMBER ELEVEN
I here is a feeling among Congressman Poage’s McGregor friends that unfair
advantage is being taken of him by those who are circulating unwarranted
criticism of his record while he is in Washington trying to serve the people of
this congressional district.
The McGregor citizens who are paying for this ad believe Bob Poage has made
good in every respect as our Congressman. We go further and state that we con-
sider his record outstanding. During his three and a half years of service as our
Congressman, his efforts and ability have been given unusual recognition
by his colleagues.
Of course Bob would like to be at home to answer his critics, but with him duty
to his constituency comes first. Hence with the primary close at hand he remains
in Washington at his post of duty.
During his three and a half years of service as our Congressman, his colleagues
openly state that he is one of the hardest workers in the House. During this
short time, he has become recognized as authority on matters pertaining to
Agricultural Legislation. He is a thorough student of Legislative matters and
as a result, has clear cut ideas on most questions of interest to his people. He is
readily approachable and is always willing to weigh all sides of any question
that might effect the welfare of his constituency.
Members of the House of Representatives give him credit for having the happy
faculty of being able to work toward what he considers a desired end and still
maintain amicable working relations with those who disagree with his views.
We are for Bob Poage for Congressman because we believe that his record in
our behalf justifies our most vigorous support.

In a statement from Washing-

the Farm Credit Administration,
said that the saving to farmers
through the reduced interest rate
will have the same effect as an

“The ultimate purpose of the
reduced interest rate on Land
Bank and Commisioner loans is
to help the farmers keep down

meet the necessary operating

“Money saved on intrest

agriculture, and also will help in
a measure to raise farm living
